Karen E. Willis, 77, of South Bend, IN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 8, 2020.  She was born to Prad and Ora Dee (Brown) Boone on March 23, 1943 in Chicago, IL.

Karen graduated from Dunbar High School and attended Southwestern Michigan College.  She married John Wesley Willis on October 30, 1966 in Chicago, IL.  As she was raising her family, Mrs. Willis held many positions at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center.  She was employed in Medical Records, Renal Billing and Financial Counseling.  She retired in 1999 as an Agency Laison after 20 years of service.  She was a member of Old Landmark Church of God in Holiness in Christ.  Karen volunteered and worked as a CASA Representative.  Her family will tell you that Karen loved her grandchildren, as well as cooking and talking.

Left to treasure her memory is Mrs. Willis's her son, Andre (Rhonda) Willis, and her daughter, Renee Willis, both of South Bend, IN; her grandchildren: Jordyn, Jada (Ryan) Bridger, Janae and Jalyn; her brothers: Alonza Boone of San Antonio, TX, Clifford (Beverly) Boone of Chicago, IL and Howard Boone of Oak Park, IL; and her sister, Deborah Donald of Georgia.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Prad and Ora Dee Boone; her loving husband, John W. Willis; her oldest son, Kevin Willis; her brothers: Otis, Alfred and Prad Willis, Jr. and a sister, Naomi Patten.

Friends of the family may pay their respects at Chapel Hill Funeral Home on Monday October 12, 2020 from 1-2:30 P.M.  A procession will form to go to Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens for entombment.
