Karen Lou Winrott, 77, of Osceola, died on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at home.  She was born on June 22, 1941 in Houston, Texas to Russell and Ethel (Blair) Carpenter.  Karen was married to Edward Winrott and he preceded her in death on April 11, 2015.  She was in quality assurance with Thermoplastics for many years and then a security guard for AM General.  She enjoyed western movies, going to the casino, wolf dogs, and collected American Indian items.  Karen is survived by her children, Rhonda Perez, Wanda (Rob) Merihew both of Elkhart, Rick (Tracy) Winrott of Goshen, and Jason (Nikki) Winrott of Mishawaka; eight grandchildren, Troy Winrott, Robert Winrott, Ryan Noel, Casey Noel, Adyleigh Sullivan, Kenny Raines, james Willis, and Nick Willis; ten great-grandchildren, Layla, Haley, Tyson, Talon, Lil' Ryan, Hannah, Rulie, Parker, Damione, and Nolan; and her brother, Joseph Carpenter.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Edward.  In accordance with Karen's wishes, there are no services planned at this time.  A private cremation committal will take place.
