Katherine R. Jolliff, age 89 of Elkhart, passed away Wed. Oct. 2, 2013 at Eastlake Terrace Assisted Living Center. Katherine was born Oct. 27, 1923 in South Bend, IN to the late Anton and Anna (Hegedus) Lang. On May 9, 1962, she married Jay Jolliff. He preceded her in death in 2003.
Surviving is her sister, Elizabeth Cripe, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters Helen Guisinger and Anna Lang.
Katherine was a graduate of Elkhart High School, class of 1942. She was employed over 40 years with the CTS Corp. in Elkhart before her retirement in 1986. She was a longtime member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Elkhart, and worked many years in the Clothes Closet at the Church. She loved being outdoors, spending time bird watching, working in her garden and loved to travel with her husband Jay. She had many friends and family, and will be dearly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 in the Good Shepherd Mausoleum Chapel on the grounds of Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola. Friends and family may meet prior to the service at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, which is handling arrangements.
