Kathryn Jean Williams, 96, passed away peacefully, early on August 20, 2024, in the home of her daughter, Diana Price, who lovingly cared for her for the past ten years in Alpine, CA.

Her life began on January 19, 1928, in Mishawaka, Indiana, the youngest of three children born to Violet S. Fredericks and Hugh E. Warner, Sr. She married Edgar Williams, Sr. on October 2, 1943, and after, began many travel adventures as a Navy wife. She and Edgar eventually settled in San Diego, CA, where they enjoyed many years before returning and retiring to South Bend, IN.

Katie will be greatly missed by her friends and family. She is survived by her three children; Edgar, Jr. (Karen), Mishawaka, IN, Diana Price, Alpine, CA, and Mark (Evelyn) Williams, Spokane, WA; Stepbrother, David (Mary Lou) Jurgenson, South Bend, IN; Grandchildren; Dennis (Denise) Price, CA, James Price, CA, Michael (Jennifer) Williams, Granger, IN, Charles Brian (Stacy Ray) Williams, Osceola, IN, Gina (Matthew) Riggle, Cromwell, IN, Jon (Amy) Williams, CA, Dustin Williams, CA; 21 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Katie was a great cook and loved her meat and potatoes. She worked in the food industry for many years and enjoyed giving great service to her customers. Sewing, embroidery, and quilting with her daughter, Diana, gave her much joy. She was an active member of Masonic affiliated organizations in South Bend; Eastern Star, White Shrine, and Amaranth, where she was Treasurer, and Royal Matron. The last few years, she kept her mind sharp by playing her favorite game, "Words with Friends," on her iPad with her son, Ed, and other online friends. She was a very worthy opponent and hard to beat!

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Hugh Warner, Jr., sister, Madalyn Scott, grandson, Brandon Williams, son-in-law Delton Price, stepfather Donald Jurgenson, Sr., and stepbrother Donald Jurgenson, Jr.

Family and friends will gather for the visitation on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Graveside services will immediately follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Indiana.
