Kathy Lynn Galicia, 55, of South Bend, passed away at 9:45 pm. on Friday, June 26th, 2015 at Memorial Hospital due to heart failure. She was born May 12th, 1960 to James and Melva (Kisor) Swisher. She was a mother, first, foremost and always. She loved music. She hated sports unless she was rooting for Michigan. For reasons unknown to her eldest son, she also loved NASCAR. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Dick and James Swisher. She is survived by her two sons, Pedro (Jessica) Galicia of Edwardsburg and Francisco Galicia of South Bend; her granddaughter Willow; her brother Dennis (Tammy) Swisher of Steger; and two sisters, Cheryl (Charles) Worsham and Nancy Grooms, both of South Bend. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday July 12th, 2015 at Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Elkhart, 1732 Garden St., Elkhart, IN 46514. Arrangements through Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
