Kathy S. Ward, age 60, of Plymouth, Indiana passed away Sunday, October 9, 2011 at her residence. Kathy was born March 6, 1951 to Roy and Vera (Shamo) Ward in Mishawaka, Indiana. Kathy was a graduate of Penn High School, class of 1969.

She is survived by her mother, Vera and her son Roger Ward and his wife Cathy, along with her grandson, Roger A. "Ande" Ward of New Carlisle. Also surviving are her siblings, Bruce Ward and his wife Beverly, and Cheri L. Northcutt and her husband Willis, all of Plymouth. Also surviving are 3 nieces and nephews, along with several great nieces and nephews. Kathy was preceded in death by her brother, Steven who passed away in 1976, and her father, Roy, who passed away in 2008.

Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the 2:30 pm funeral service on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Timothy Stewart of the North Liberty Church of Christ. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Kathy was employed in the data entry department at Honeywell (formerly Allied Signal) in South Bend for over 20 years. She retired in 2002, and then worked at Press Gainey for a few years after.

She was a member of the Church of Christ in North Liberty, and loved being home with her family, especially her grandson Ande. She enjoyed playing cards and games with friends and family alike. In her spare time, she enjoyed being on the computer. In her memory, donations may be made to the North Liberty Church of Christ or the North Liberty Church of Christ School.
