Obituary

Kenneth Martin Coffman, beloved son, husband, father, and grandfather, of Mishawaka, Indiana went home to be with his Lord Jesus Christ September 16 th , 2021. Kenneth was born in South Bend, Indiana on December 2, 1956 to Richard and Anne (Crowell) Coffman. He married Shirley Scutchfield on February 26, 1977, South Bend, IN.  They were married 44 years.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Shirley Coffman of Mishawaka, Indiana, their sons Andrew (Ginger) Coffman of High Point, North Carolina, Thomas (Angela) Coffman of Mishawaka, Indiana, and five grandchildren: Lilly, Ivy, Rheanna, Camille, and Ivan, his mother, Anne (Lucy) Coffman of Mishawaka, IN, his sister, Colleen Ziebarth of Rochester, IN. Ken was preceded in death by his father, Richard Gene Coffman.

Ken was best known for his love of fishing. He always wanted to throw the line out "just one more time!"  Ken served in the Air Force for almost 12 years. He served in Operation Desert Storm. After his honorable discharge, Ken worked as a long haul trucker and more recently as tanker driver for National Oil and Gas E & R. Ken was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Lakeville, Indiana where he served by singing in the choir and driving the Sunday School bus. He loved his church family. His deep faith in God sustained him throughout his life.

Services will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, Indiana. Viewing will be Monday, September 20 th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Tuesday, September 21 st from 12:00 until 1:00 PM. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Vito Rulli  (Lakeside Baptist Church, Lakeville, Indiana) officiating. Pastor Bart Spencer (Lighthouse Baptist Church, Holland, Michigan) and Pastor Bill Sheets (Bunker Hill Free Will Baptist Church, Bunker Hill, Indiana) will also be sharing their thoughts and stories about Ken.  Internment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, Indiana.

His family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and love given to us during this very difficult time.
