Kenneth Preston Johnson

February 18, 1954 – December 23, 2023

Kenneth P. Johnson, 69 passed away peacefully on December 23, 2023 in Elkhart, Indiana at home surrounded by loved ones after a long battle of health issues.

Kenneth was born on February 18th 1954 in Detroit, Michigan. Son of Lester and Helen (Hackett) Johnson. Kenneth graduated from Handy High School in 1972. He went into the military and served 3 years.

Kenneth was united in marriage to Anna M. (Broom) Johnson on October 22, 1982. They had 4 children, Jeremiah (Brandy) Broom, Kenneth II, Christina, and Daniel Johnson. Kenneth also had 10 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Scottie, Chelsea, Timothy, Lisa, Brittney, Brianna, Destiny, Daniel and Zachary. Along with 16 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. Kenneth was a loving and caring husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather. Kenneth had 8 brothers and 2 sisters. Surviving siblings are Edward, William, Dennis, Dale, Ronald, James (Chritz), Aldora and Pamela.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his loving wife Anna M. (Broom) Johnson of 41 years (together for 46 years), parents Lester and Helen (Hackett) Johnson and 2 brothers, Howard Johnson and Donald Johnson.

Kenneth P. Johnson will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
