L. Jay Deisch, 94, of Huntertown and formerly of Goshen and South Bend, died Friday August 14, 2015 at Kingston Care Center in Fort Wayne. The Atwood native was born April 8, 1921 to Lester O. & Edith M. (Fleck) Deisch. Jay was a business auditor with the Unemployment Division for the State of Indiana and retired in 1985. The WWII Army veteran was a member of the VFW and the Elks Club. Jay is survived by his children, Larry (Sharon) Deisch of Newaygo MI, Nancy (Paul) Graber of Fort Wayne and Vicki Howard of Huntertown; his sister, Rosemary Harter of Goshen; his grandchildren, Lori (Bill) Cain, Mitch (Julie) Deisch, Scott (Pam) Graber, Monica Graber, Scott (Trisch) Howard, Christian Howard & Michelle (Reggie) Clarkson; great-grandchildren, Evan Cain, Miles Cain, Nathan Cain, Amanda Deisch, Jarret Deisch, Brianna Graber, Caroline Swink, Elizabeth Swink, Hunter Swink, Zayne Graber, Alexandria Howard, Malorie Howard, Matthew Howard & Michael Howard and his great-great-grandson, Carson Howard.
