Larry Joseph Barrett, 76 of Mishawaka, passed away at 7:00 am, Monday, June 10, 2013 in his home. Larry was born on April 29, 1937 in Mishawaka, the son of the Joseph and Bessie L. (Carden) Barrett. On December 5, 1958, he married Jill Strang.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jill; their two children, Stacey (Robert) Webb of Kansas City, MO and Scott Barrett of Elkhart; three grandchildren, Ashley Folger, Tyler Webb, and A.J. Barrett. He is also survived by four siblings, Sharon Russell of Centennial, CO, John (Jeniffer) Barrett of Dasmarinas, Philippines, Pamela Twete of Castle Rock, CO and Gary Barrett of Parker, CO.

Larry proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged. He worked for Air Maps Inc. of Elkhart for 32 years before his retirement in 1999. He was a little league coach and loved sailing and photography.

A memorial service to celebrate Larry''s life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 15, 2013 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
