Obituary

Lawrence Earl Williams, age 79 of Lafayette, Indiana, formerly of Elkhart, passed away May 18, 2012 at Rosewalk Commons Assisted Living Center. Lawrence was born January 2, 1933 in Powellton, West Virginia to the late Cecil and Faye (Kinder) Williams. On August 10, 1952, he married Patricia Huddleston, who preceded him in death.
Lawrence is survived by his children, Larry (Elizabeth) Williams of Indianapolis, Indiana, Devilyna (Jack) Nichols of Lafayette, Indiana, Michael (Darla) Williams of Linden, Indiana, and Lorenda (Randy) Couch of Bourbon, Indiana. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Lawrence was preceded in death by two brothers.
Visitation will be held 3 hours prior to the 7:00 pm funeral service on Friday, May 25, 2012 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
Lawrence served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War where he earned the Korean Service Medal with one bronze star. He was later employed in the Elkhart area with several RV Manufacturing companies during his career.
