Lawrence (Larry) Williams, 79, died Saturday March 12, 2022 at Elkhart General Hospital.

He was born on June 11, 1942 in South Bend, IN to Charles (Chuck) Williams and Evelyn Buckmiller.  He married Nancy Himes on August 5, 1960.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Marie; both parents; a brother, Richard (Dick) Williams; a sister Charlotte (Char) Swords; and a granddaughter, Stacie Lane.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; 3 children: Donna Shepherd, Stephen (Marie) Williams, and Lori (Thomas) Legg, all of Elkhart; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; a brother, Donald (Sandy) Williams, also of Elkhart; and his dog, RubySue.

He retired in 2010 from Duncan Systems, where he replaced and shipped windows for RV's.Larry enjoyed fishing, playing cards, playing slots on the computer and going to the casinos, watching NASCAR races, as well as playing with his dog.  He also loved just sitting outside listening to the birds or hand feeding the squirrels.

Friends may visit with the family from 11-1 PM Saturday March 19, 2022 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. Osceola, IN, where a funeral service in his honor will be at 1 PM.
