Lena Maxine Robbins, age 92, went home to be with her savior March 30, 2023. Born August 24, 1930 in Cord, Arkansas to the late Benjamin and Lorena McLain she married Charles Robbins on December 21, 1946 in Tuckerman, Arkansas. She is survived by her children Betty (Richard) Dickson of Lakeville, IN, Cathy Kress of Goshen, IN, Deborah (Bill) Douglas of Osceola, IN, Wilma Books of Sebring, FL, Charles (Janne) Robbins of Carmel, IN, Lori (Larry) Dooley of Granger, IN and Marc (Stephanie) Robbins of Elkhart, IN as well as 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Lena was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband Charles, son in law Dennis Books, grandson Jon Minor, great grandson Gabriel Bowers. She retired from Americana Nursing Home and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Elkhart, IN. Services will be held at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home 10776 McKinley Hwy Osceola, IN on Tuesday April 4, 2023 at 11:00 am. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services and burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens following the services.
