Leroy D. Hale, age 64 of South Bend, passed away December 24, 2022. Born on June 20, 1958 in Newport, RI to the late Victor Hale and Margaret Ann Branch, he attended school and spent his early years in the Cassopolis, MI area. Spending his adult years in the South Bend area his greatest passion was working on cars. Among his favorite hobbies were reading and listening to music. Leroy is preceded in death by both his parents, step father Michael Branch and younger brother Paul Hale. He is survived by sisters Janet and Rick Whiteman, Diana and Brian Taylor and Paula Hale – Mooth. Also surviving are nieces and nephews Beth and Kevin Schwartz, Thomas and Scherrie Hartman Jr., Richard C. and Allie Whiteman, Ryan and Amy Whiteman, Amanda and Nick Letizia, Alyson and Levi Burkins as well as great nieces and nephews Lily, Grayson, Lorelei and Hope Schwartz, Zayvier and Jocelyn Hartman, Archer, Nolan, Lily, Emma and Cameron Whiteman, Luca and Leonard Letizia, Owen, Payton and Tucker Burkins. The services will be held at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home 10776 McKinley Hwy Osceola, IN 46561 on Wednesday January 4, 2022 at 12:00 pm. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in the chapel.
