Lewis D. Balentine, 52, of Osceola, died Monday February 14, 2011 at St. Joseph Medical Center. He was born in Mishawaka on April 6, 1958 to Lewis E. and Grace (Felts) Balentine, who have both preceded him in death. Lewis was a member of the Ireland Road Church of God, enjoyed discussions on politics & sports and was an avid Colts fan. He treasured his role as a Foster Parent and had been employed by McDowell Enterprises. Lewis is survived by his wife, Tammy Balentine; son, Shannon (Samantha) Balentine of Osceola; daughters, Sarah (Anthony) Taylor of Mishawaka and Tanya (Gerald) Nickerson of Jimtown; grandchildren, Lillian Taylor and Logan & Kaylee Nickerson; and his sister, Sherry (Randy) Borders of Goshen. Lewis was also preceded in death by his brothers, Mike & Mark Balentine. Funeral Services 2:00 Friday February 18, 2011 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy.
