Linda Marie Ellis, 67, of South Bend, passed away at 11:55 am, Friday, June 6, 2014 in Hospice House of South Bend surrounded by family. Linda was born on April 19, 1947, the daughter of Paul and Harriett (MaCorkle) Joers. She is survived by two sons, Terrence Patesel of Kalamazoo, MI and Joseph Richard, III of Mishawaka; four grandchildren, Gregory Richard, Austin Richard, Peyton Patesel, and Lilly Patesel; and a brother, David (Lois) Joers of South Bend. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Raoul Joers. Linda is a lifetime area resident, graduating from Central High School. She worked for AM General for many years before her retirement in 2006. Linda was the current president of the VFW Post 360 Ladies Auxillary. She was also a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, South Bend and UAW Local 5. Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 pm, Friday, June 13, 2014 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, in the funeral home. Cremation will follow and burial of ashes will take place in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
