Linda Kirkendall, 74, of Goshen, passed peacefully to her heavenly rest on May 26, 2019.  She was born on July 1, 1944 in Denver, Colorado to Harold and Bernice (Baird) Ashby.  After graduating high school, she married John Kirkendall on February 29, 1964 and he survives.  Linda worked in offices and obtained her Qualified Medical Assistant certification.  She worked in various healthcare offices including Oaklawn.  Linda was a member of First Baptist Church in Elkhart.  Linda's greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She is survived by her husband of 55 years, John; her children, Allen (Michelle) Kirkendall, Damon Kirkendall, Danita (Brian Tobolski) Ross, and Robert (Amy Jarzynski) Kirkendall; five grandchildren; and a sister, Karen Taylor.  Friends and family will be received on Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 6-8 PM in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN  46561.  A memorial service in Linda's honor will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 11 AM at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Lung Association's National Office, 55 W.
