Linda D. Mills, 60, of Osceola passed away at 9:23 am, Monday, March 2, 2009 in Elkhart General Hospital after a battle with cancer. Linda was born on January 31, 1949 in South Bend to Robert E. and Pauline (Rouch) Reedy, Sr. On May 21, 1988 in Elkhart, she married Joseph E. Mills.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, Joseph of Osceola; four children, Joseph Mills, Jr. of Elkhart, Tracy (Michael) Rogers of Noblesville, IN, Ricky (Dawn) Mills of Goshen and Mark "Bud" Underwood, Jr. of Elkhart; nine grandchildren, Cory, Adria, Lisa, Tasha, Tiffany, Patricia, Felicia, Jon and Tyler and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, Pauline Reedy Norton of Temple, TX, one sister, Patricia (John) Evans of Mesa, AZ; and two brothers, Robert (Pam) Reedy, Jr. of New Paris, IN and Michael (Chris) Reedy of Gatesville, TX. She is preceded in death by her father.
She was a member of the American Legion Post 308 Ladies Auxiliary of Osceola. She will be remembered for her outgoing personality and her love of the outdoors and camping.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-800 pm, Thursday, March 5, 2009 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 6, 2009 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
