Obituary

Linda Lou Sandefur, age 67, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at her residence of natural causes. Linda was born September 16, 1942 in Mishawaka, Indiana to the late Menno Wilson and Ida Mae (Douglas) Toombs. On January 28, 1961, Linda was married to Chester Morris Sandefur in Mishawaka, Indiana. Chester preceded her in death, passing away in May of 2009.
Surviving are her children; Ida (fianc, Lenard Wilson) Byam, Brenda (John) Price and Michael Sandefur, all of Mishawaka, a brother, Edward (Carolyn) Toombs of Osceola, and six grandchildren; Daniel Byam, Kenneth Byam, Ryan (fiance Kristina Rectenwal) Price, Derrick Price Christopher Price and Evan Wilson. Linda is also survived by her great granddaughter, Cassie Byam. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rose Dunning.
Visitation will be held from 2-6 pm Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, April 26, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, with interment to follow in the Garden of Liberty on the grounds of Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
Linda was employed as a dietary specialist for several years at Holy Cross Living Center. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, visiting Shipshewana, attending concerts at Beutter Park in Mishawaka, and tending to her flower gardens. She also enjoyed the company of her faithful dog, Buddy.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sandefur family.
