Linnie Devora Kilburn, 88, of Osceola went home to be with her Lord on February 8, 2018. Devora was born on January 24, 1930 to the late Rev. Nick and Grethel (Cossey) White in Savannah, Tennessee. On September 16 1950, she married Charles Kilburn and they relocated to South Bend. Devora was a gifted seamstress and worked for H.D. Lee, Gerber Mfg., and Koszegi Leather. In later years she established Debee's Draperies and worked alongside her husband in his construction business. A strong woman of faith, she served as Primary Sunday School teacher for 30 years, church treasurer and President of the Women's Mission Board. She worked tirelessly crafting many beautiful items for the Christmas bazaars. Devora was a member of the Cedar Road Missionary Church. Space is limited to tell who Devora was. To put it simply, she was a virtuous woman. She loved her Lord and was a faithful servant. She was loving, kind, and hard working. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Devora supported her family with her presence and time. There was nothing more special to her than her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was affectionately called "Grandma Charlie". Devora is survived by her husband of 67 years, Charles; daughter, Linda (Jeff) Fizer; grandsons, Todd and Drew (Laura) Fizer; great grandchildren, Gavyn, Kamryn, and Madelyn Fizer; and one sister, Robbie Prince of Savannah, Tennessee. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Gean and Rebecca Wright; three brothers, Willie Earl White, Curtis White, and Vernia Ray White all of Savannah, Tennessee. The family appreciates the kindness and consideration shown them by the nursing staff on the fifth floor of the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, and the staff at the Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart. Family and friends will be received on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 12-2 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN 46561 with a funeral service in Devora's honor beginning at 2 PM.
