Lois Magdalene Hauger, age, 86 of Elkhart, passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 at Eastlake Nursing Home. Lois was born August 5, 1927 in Hutchinson, Minnesota to the late George F. and Magdalene E. (Horvath) Homburg. On March 2, 1946, she married Clement J. Hauger Jr. in South Bend, Indiana.
Clement survives, along with their children Carol S. Magee of Fountainview, California, Mark S. (Darlene) Hauger of Bristol, Indiana and Karen M. (Russ) Banta of Elkhart, Indiana. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren; Farrah Magee, Lori (Mike) Peli, Alan Hauger, Kevin Hauger and Elizabeth (Brad) Fritz, and 4 great grandchildren. Lois was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond G. Homburg.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Friday, November 8, 2013 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. The Mass of Christian Resurrection will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, November 9, 2013 at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Bristol, Indiana. Interment will be private at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Lois was employed for over 20 years as a line operator at Miles Laboratories in Elkhart. She was formerly a member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Church in Bristol, where she volunteered her time with the Altar and Rosary Society, Religious Education departments, and the Right to Life Committee. She also loved to volunteer her time at Loveway Therapeutic Riding Stable in Middlebury and was a member of the Zion Homemaker''s Club.
In her memory, donations may be made to the Center for Hospice.
