Lorraine Shirley (Kessick) Riley (95), of Mishawaka, IN passed away on September 4, 2023, at 7:45 AM at home with her family gathered around her.
Lorraine was born on January 27, 1928, in South Bend to Janete and Royal Kessick. On November 27, 1958, she married William E. Riley, the love of her life. They were married for 44 years. Lorraine leaves a loving family of 6 children behind to carry on her legacy of love and grace: Craig (Carol) Riley of Menomonee Falls, WI; Cynthia (Phil) Harper of Indianapolis, IN; Royal (Melody) Riley of Elkhart, IN; Janice (Greg) Thomas of Indianapolis, IN; Matt (Francine) Riley of Granger, IN and Emily (Brad) Cook of Bloomington, IN.; including 13 Grandkids, Kandi Riley, Trista (Mike) Peterson, Samantha (Chris) Dawson, Abigail Riley, Nicollette, Kristen and Joshua Thomas, Brandon and Christopher Riley, Emma and Aaron Harper, Olivia (Zachary) Clark and Benjamin Cook along with Six Great Grand Children including Preston and Julia Peterson, Adelyn Riley, Amelia, Nora and Josephine Dawson. Also left behind are many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Lorraine was proceeded in death by her husband William E. Riley, her sister Lucille (Fred) Wisneiewski, her brother Delwyn Kessick, her precious twin brother Royal Franklin Kessick, her Grandsons William Harper, Matthew Riley and her Great Grand Daughter Lillian Grace Dawson.
Lorraine worked at Bonnie Doons and Notre Dame for many years, many of which included working alongside her sister Lucille. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church Mishawaka, IN. Lorraine was cherished and cared for in the house of her Niece Diann (George) Berger for the last 9 years.
Lorraine touched so many lives with love and grace through her continued faith in her Lord Jesus Christ. Her unwavering belief in God's love carried and lifted all who spent time with her.
Visitation will be held 3:00-7:00 PM Friday 9/8/2023 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Osceola IN, with the Rosary being said at 6:30 PM.
Services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday 9/9/2023 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church Mishawaka, IN.
Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Garden, Osceola, IN. The family invites all to join for lunch immediately afterwards at Queen of Peace Church.
