Obituary

Louise Ann (Jacob) Schwenk, age 75, of South Bend, passed away Saturday afternoon, September 11, 2010 at Indiana University Medical Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana of natural causes. Louise was born December 11, 1934 to the late Farris and Martha (Habib) Jacob in Mishawaka, Indiana. On December 26, 1975, Louise married Thomas Schwenk in South Bend, Indiana.
Thomas Schwenk, of South Bend, survives, along with her two sons, Anthony Jones of LaPorte, Indiana, and Michael Jones of Granger, Indiana. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Elizabeth Jones, Alexander Jones, and Abram Jones. Surviving as well are her brothers, Jacob Jacob, and Joseph Jacob, both of South Bend. She was preceded in death by her siblings, David, Solomon, Josephine Solliday, Anna Jacob and Mary Jacob.
Friends may call from 6-8 pm Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, and one hour prior to the 11:00 am Memorial Service on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow at a later date in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
Louise was employed as a secretary for many years at Wheelabrator-Frye, and Raco Incorporated in South Bend, before her retirement 13 years ago. Louise enjoyed shopping, exercise and walking, and spending time with her husband, Tom. She attended St. Anthony''s Catholic Church in South Bend for many years as well. Louise also loved animals, especially her cats.
In her memory, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, or the Pet Refuge of Mishawaka.
