It is with great sadness to announce the passing of LuAnn Winkelmann at the age of 87. She passed away at 5:40 a.m. Nov 13, 2020 peacefully at home with family by her side. LuAnn was born June 26, 1933 in Bristol, Indiana to Irvin and Gertrude Niece. She has lived in Bristol, IN.; White Pigeon, MI.; Oceanside, CA. and Elkhart, IN. throughout her life.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Robert F. Winkelmann. They were married on February 29, 1952 in Decatur, Indiana. She is survived by her three children: Michael (Enza) Winkelmann, of South Bend; ValAnn Winkelmann (Howard) Kidder of Elkhart and Shawn (Lisa) Winkelmann of Elkhart. Luann is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Her surviving grandchildren are Chris (Sheila) Winkelmann, Jason (Megan) Winkelmann, Derek (Bonnie) Kidder, Heather (Brady) Boswell, Holly (Jerimiah) Powell, Kerri (Chad) Kinney.

LuAnn also had two brothers (both deceased): Earlis Niece of White Pigeon, MI. and Robert Niece of Mishawaka, IN.

She loved to spend time with her family, playing cards, putting together puzzles, watching vintage western TV shows and crocheting. She was so very proud of all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She enjoyed so much of life by going to church, spending time with her wonderful friends and making great family memories.

A private family service and burial will take place on Tuesday November 17, 2020.

The family suggest that, in lieu of sending flowers, donation to a favorable charitable organization would be encouraged instead.

Chapel Hill Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
