Lucille (Harmless) Crynes, formerly of South Bend, (born May 7, 1916) passed away on May 8, 2014 in Dade City, Florida at her granddaughter''s home. She was 98 years young. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Crynes (1994), her grandson Thomas Baker (1975) and son-in-law Raymond Baker (2000). She was well loved and a great Mom & Grandma to many generations of children. She was an active member of the Community Church of Roseland, the Community Club, Eastern Star, Canasta Club, and a volunteer shopper at Healthwin Hospital. She loved to cook for her family & neighbors and was famous for her cookies, homemade noodles, handmade quilts and "never empty" candy dish. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Barbara Baker Stetson (Clayton); Mona Bergl (Dallas); Ronald Crynes (Sue); and Sharon Schloemer (Jon). She is loved and missed by all, including her 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren, with a fifth, and her namesake, Victoria Lucille due any day. Funeral Services 11:00 Wednesday, May 14, 2014 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. Friends may call from 10-11am in the funeral home. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
