Lynn L. Companion, 83, of Elkhart, passed away on June 12, 2019.  He was born in South Bend, Indiana on August 22, 1935 to Paul and Edna Companion.  Lynn received his degree in Tool and Die and worked for Elkhart Products until his retirement.  He was the owner of The Pub on Main street in Elkhart and he opened the first discotheque on Cassopolis street called the "Disco Den". Lynn was a member of the Italian Club and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.  He loved fishing so much that he bought a boat and docked it on Lake Erie so he could take his family and friends fishing.  He named the boat "the Top Duck".  On July 11, 1987, Lynn married Charlotte Foster and she survives.  Surviving along with his wife of 31 years are his children, Greg (Lisa) Companion of Elkhart, Randy Companion of Albion, and Tracy (Jim) Carpenter of Elkhart; five grandchildren, Amey (Dave) Hensley, Jim Zmudzinski, Lindsey (John) Littleton, Gina Companion, and Korey Carpenter; two great-grandchildren, Kamryn Zmudzinski and Lanie Littleton; stepdaughter, Tonja Yoder; his siblings, Antony (Mary) Companion, Mace (Vera) Companion both of Elkhart, Angela Ward of Melbourne, Florida, Steven Companion of Naples, Florida, and Dennis (Linda Blankenship) Companion of Bullard, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and his daughter, Gina Companion.  Family and friends will be received on Monday, June 17, 2019 from 10-12 PM in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN  46561 with a funeral service in Lynn's honor beginning at 12 PM.  Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Elkhart County, 54687 County Road 19, Bristol, IN  46507.
