Mary Naoma Egbert, age 88 of Goshen, Indiana passed away at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Goshen General Hospital. Naoma was born July 18, 1920 in Island Park, North Dakota to the late Calvin and Anna (Eash) Ringler. On July 3, 1948, Naoma was united in marriage to the late Raymond G. Egbert in Colfax County, New Mexico. Raymond passed away February 7, 1990. Naoma was also preceded in death by her son Jim Egbert.
She is survived by 3 grandchildren and 3 brothers; Olen J. Ringler of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Joseph (Nora) Ringler of White Pigeon, Michigan, and Timothy (Anne) Ringler of Ligonier, Indiana. Naoma was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, John Ringler (at age 12), Molly Bernice (in infancy) Elizabeth Hochstetler, Beulah Redford, Kathryne Hershberger, LaVerna Yoder and Edwin "Bud" Ringler.
There will be one hour of calling prior to the 2:00 pm memorial service on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at the Gathering Place Chapel in Evergreen Place on the Greencroft Campus in Goshen. Rev. B.J. Bishop of the Elkhart Church of God will officiate the memorial service. Interment will follow at a later date in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
Naoma was self-employed as the owner of the Simonton Lake Laundry for over 24 years. She was also a member of the Elkhart Church of God.
In her memory, contributions may be given to the Elkhart Church of God, or the Greencroft Health Care Center in Goshen.
