Madeline Ruffolo, 94, of Mishawaka, passed away at 5:55 pm, Monday, February 13, 2012 in Michiana Health & Rehabilitation Center, Mishawaka. Madeline was born on May 4, 1917 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Angelo and Myrtle (Hathaway) Del Marto. She married James J. Ruffolo May 28,1949. He passed away on March 20, 2005.
She is survived by her son, James and Marjorie Ruffolo of Mishawaka, three grandchildren, Amorena Charlotte Ruffolo, Marcello Giovanni Ruffolo, and Lanetta Marie Ruffolo. She is also survived by one brother, Anthony Del Marto of Chicago, IL. She is preceded in death by John DelMarto, Ralph DelMarto, Rose (Del Marto) Mosillami.
Loving mother and grandmother, she liked to play cards, especially solitaire. She was an avid reader and a great Italian cook. She and her husband were ballroom dancers, and they earned the nickname 'Fred and Ginger'. She retired from Illinois Bell, and also worked for Brach's Candy.
A private family service will take place Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola.. Entombment will be at a later date in Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, Hillside, IL.
