MISHAWAKA- Magalene Clayton passed away at the Hospice Center in Elkhart, Tuesday morning after a brief stay. Magalene was born in Hopkins County, Kentucky to Talbern and Ovalee (Maddox) Martin. She resided in the Mishawaka area, and met Carless Clayton and they married February 23, 1946. Together they raised two children. Magalene attended St. Mark Missionary Church. She worked for John Adams High School as a baker for many years and also coached youth bowling for 18 years. Magalene is survived by son Terry (Debby) Clayton, daughter Elaine Clayton, grandsons Matt and Nick (Brittney) Clayton, great-grandson Braxton, and brother Emon R. Martin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carless, and eight brothers and sisters. A gathering of friends and family will be July 22, 2016 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home 10776 McKinley Highway Osceola, IN 46561; 10:00am - 11:00am with a funeral service immediately starting at 11:00am with Pastor David Sjoberg officiating.
