Obituary

Marcy R. Klotz, age 64, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Hospice House of St. Joseph County. Marcy was born January 9, 1946 to the late Lester and Bonnie (East) Armold. On June 25, 1984, Marcy married Jerry Klotz in Chicago, Illinois.
Surviving is her husband, Jerry Klotz, of Mishawaka, a son, Kyle Holt of Granger, and a daughter, Jenny (Keith) Conway of Antioch, IL, and three grandchildren; Colin, Riley and Regan Conway. Also surviving is her step-mother, Betty Armold, who Marcy considered a mother, and her brothers Steve (Mary Ellen) Armold of Springfield, MA, John Armold of Knox, IN. Surviving as well are her step brothers, William (Ann) Whitfield of Port Clinton, OH, Ted (Beth) Modlin, of Granger, Richard Modlin of Elkhart, and a step sister, LuAnne (DuPree) Pitts of Lacarne, OH. Her aunt, Dorothy Campbell of Logansport, IN survives also. Marcy was preceded in death by her sister Tami Armold Lanier, her brother James Modlin, and her sister-in-law, Violet Modlin.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, October 29, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Marcy was a bartender at the Blue Lantern Restaurant for several years before she became a homemaker. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Jerry in their motor home, attending Bluegrass festivals, and was very family oriented. She was an excellent cook, and enjoyed decorating, shopping and crochet. She also had a caring and gentle heart, and held a special place for her pets, especially her dog Zoey.
In her memory, donations may be given to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care.
