Margaret L. Deitchley, age 86, of Mishawaka, died Monday, September 6, 2010. Margaret was born March 7, 1924. On June 18, 1946, she married Carroll James Deitchley in St. Joseph County, Indiana. He preceded her in death, passing away in March of 1977.
Surviving is her sister, Alyce Reed of Elkhart, a sister in law, Mae Burke, and her nephews Donald (Betty) Bidelman, Thomas (Linda) Reed, David Burke, Jerry Burke, and Karen Kratzer. Preceding her in death was her brother, Kenneth Burke and her sister, Bette Bidelman, as well as her nephew, Tim Reed.
Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the 3:00 pm funeral service on Friday, September 10, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Margaret was employed by Uniroyal in Mishawaka for 42 years where she belonged to the United Rubber Workers Union Local 65, before her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, working in her lawn, and art.
