Margaret A. Carr, 79, of Elkhart, died Sunday June 11, 2017. The Sanilac Michigan native was born March 11, 1938, the third of three children to Edwin & Vina (Davis) Samson. Margaret graduated from Port Huron High School with the Class of ''56. She lived most of her life in the Elkhart area and was a formerly employed at Federal Paperboard and then retired from Phillips Products. Margaret was a former member of Meadowbrook Wesleyan Church, often attending with a carload of her grandchildren along and she taught Sunday school there for many years. She currently attended church at the Salvation Army. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Carr; her son, David Carr; grandchildren, Adam & Joshua Franck and her brothers, John & George Samson. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Alan) Davidson and Susan Stroder, both of Elkhart; grandchildren, Matthew Carr, Robert & Rodney Sargent, Alan J. & Steven Davidson, Mark Carr, Zachariah & Katie Franck and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services 2:00 Friday June 16, 2017 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. where friends may call on Friday from 1-2pm. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
