Mrs. Margaret Ellen Haynes, Indianapolis, passed away on the early afternoon of Sunday, November 13, 2022. She was 95. Margaret was born February 1, 1927 in Hobart, Indiana, a daughter of the late Thomas I. and Elizabeth A. (Glaze) Suiters.

Margaret attended and was a graduate of Kingman High School in Kingman, Indiana. She was also a long-time member of the Osceola United Methodist Church. Margaret spent much of her leisure time gardening and creating beautiful floral arrangements.

A devoted homemaker, she also enjoyed baking as was known for her delicious fudge and Christmas cookies. Margaret was a fan of the Golden Girls and Family Feud and liked watching these shows on television. Margaret deeply loved her family and cherished the time she could spend with them.

In  her final years, Margaret was provided with  the utmost care and compassion at Hooverwood Living in Indianapolis. The family is so thankful for each of her caregivers and the love they gave her.

Margaret is survived by her children, John Haynes and Lisa Haynes and her partner, Jason Stevens; her grandchildren, Haynes Whorley and Phifer Whorley as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her husband of 60 years, Albert Haynes; her siblings, Mary Catherine Suiters, Carl Suiters, Charles Suiters and Muriel Gray.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Friday, November 25, 2022 at Chapel Hill Memorial Funeral Home, Osceola. She will be entombed beside her husband at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
