Marian Rose Henderson, 83, of South Bend, passed away on January 21, 2010 in Morningside Nursing & Memory Care Center, South Bend. Marian was born on September 24, 1926 in South Bend to the late Frances O. and Marie Margaret (Van Riper) Smith.
Marian was the secretary for Mary Frank Elementary School for many years before retiring in 1987. She was a member of Gospel Center Missionary Church, South Bend. She will be remembered as a very giving and cheerful person, who loved the Lord. She also loved to travel and spend her winters in Florida.
She is survived by two sons, Keith D. (Donna) Henderson and Kevin C. (Judy) Henderson, both of Granger, five grandchildren, Gabriel, Amber, Michael, Ashley, Rachel. She is also survived by her sister, Marge (Fred) Struble of Plymouth and a brother, Frances O. Smith, Jr. of Mishawaka.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm, Monday, January 25. 2010 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 26, 2010 in the funeral home with Rev. Chuck Husted officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
