Mishawaka, IN – Nancy Louise Roop, 79, passed away unexpectedly on August 19, 2026, at Providence Home By Fir in Mishawaka, with her loving friend, Carol Spencer, by her side.

Nancy was born on February 25, 1947, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Harry L. and Marcele W. (Liechti) Roop. She attended Bethel University and devoted many years of her life to serving others through her work with the welfare department.

Nancy was a woman of deep faith who loved the Lord and cherished her church family. She was a longtime member of California Road Missionary Church, where her faith in God was an important part of her life. She found joy in the simple things that made life special, especially her beloved cats and her collection of porcelain figurines. Nancy also enjoyed gardening and reading, and she treasured the comfort and beauty these hobbies brought to her life.

Those who knew Nancy will remember her for her kind heart, her strong faith, and the unique interests that made her who she was. She leaves behind memories that will be lovingly cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, with Pastor Shayne Cooper officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, where Nancy will be laid to rest in the Garden of the Apostles, Osceola, Indiana.

Nancy's faith in God was a guiding light throughout her life, and she is now at peace in His loving presence.
