Marie Caroline Warner, 88, of Elkhart, passed away at 3:07 pm, Saturday, September 17, 2011 in Elkhart General Hospital. Marie was born on May 6, 1923 in Batesville, IN, the daughter of the late Edward and Emma (Behlmer) Fruchtnight. She is also preceded in death by two brothers, Wilbur and Edward and two sisters, Lillian Jones and Ethel Fruchtnight.
Marie is survived by six children, Virginia (Ken) Haines of Carlsbad, CA, Jack Warner of Florida, Robert (Anne) Warner of Westville, IN, John (Shannon) Warner of Chattanooga, TN, Patricia Rice of Goshen and Wanda (Jimmy) Stanley of Paw Paw, MI. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a sister, Eleanor DeKing of College Station, TX.
Marie worked for Elkhart Speed Wash for many years before her retirement. She was a member of the Dunlap United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, September 23, 2011 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, with two hours of visitation prior to the service. Pastor Joe Smith will officiate.Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
