Marilyn L. Gildner, 82 of Mishawaka, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015. The Wakarusa native was born March 26, 1933 to Louis and Matilda (Berger) VonGruenigen. Marilyn graduated from Madison High School with the Class of 1951. She was married to Paul Gildner from 1953-1963. Marilyn had retired from the office at Wells Electronics in South Bend and was formerly with Wheelabrator in Mishawaka. She was a member of Ironwood United Pentecostal Church and former member of Christ Temple Church, where she served for a time as secretary. Marilyn was an accomplished seamstress; she enjoyed gardening & travel and loved to read. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Brandon Krieger; her brother, Warren VonGruenigen and brother-in-law, Ralph Correll. Marilyn is survived by her children, Deanna (Jim) Alvis of Osceola and Greg (Marie) Gildner of Mishawaka; her grandchildren, Michael (Laura) Krieger of Osceola, Kari Krieger of Mishawaka, Brittney (Joe) Hannah of South Bend, Ashlynn Gildner of Mishawaka, Tim (Kathy) Alvis of Seattle WA and Kyle (Jessica) Alvis of Marion; great-grandchildren, Bree, Abagael, Jakeb & Olliver Broecker; Clarabelle & Magdalene Krieger; Haleigh & Kaden Hannah; Sylvia & Corali Alvis and her sisters, Betty (Devon) Truex & Eileen Correll, both of Mishawaka.
