Marilyn K. Conde, 78, of Elkhart, died Saturday September 3, 2016 at the Center for Hospice in Elkhart. She was born August 28, 1938 in Elkhart, to Samuel & Maxine Whetten. On August 29, 1958, Marilyn married Robert Conde in Elkhart. Together they founded their family business, Mobile Home Salvage Co. in 1972 which evolved into MHS Supply. The family established J&C Water Supply Systems and Factory RV Surplus Co. where Marilyn remained active until her retirement in May, 2016. The family owned business continues to thrive after 3 generations of operation by the Conde family. Marilyn was also an avid golfer, who played on the women''s league at Four Lakes Country Club, where she was a former club champion who could even boast a hole-in-one during her active years playing. Family & friends were important to Marilyn; she enjoyed the time spent playing the piano, bowling, traveling, her membership at the Moose Lodge #599 and an occasional visit to the area casinos. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was also preceded in death in by Robert Conde, her husband of 53 years and their daughter Pam (Kip) Strawser. She is survived by her son, Jeff Conde of Elkhart; grandchildren, Andrew Strawser, Nathan (Katey) Strawser and Jamie (Ryan) Williams, all of Elkhart; great-grandchildren, Jaxon & Milo Strawser and Haley Williams, and her brother, Alan Craft of Elkhart.
