Marjorie J. Irons, 70, of Elkhart, passed away at 2:12 am, Monday, March 1, 2010 in Elkhart General Hospital.

Marjorie was born on July 19, 1939 in Valparaiso to the late Walter and Mildred (Peck) Wiemuth.

On July 30, 1976, she married Kenneth L. Irons. She is preceded in death by her parents and a son, Michael McCarty, who passed away on July 24, 1987

She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth of Elkhart, three children, Brian McCarty of Portland, OR, Kevin McCarty of Ontario, CA and Amy Irons of Goshen; two grandchildren, Kristin Heintzelman and Jessica McCarty and two great grandchildren, Tysen McCarty and Dallas Yoder. She is also survived by a sister, Virginia Allison of Valparaiso and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, March 3, 2010 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, March 4, 2010 in the funeral home, with entombment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola
