Obituary

Marjorie R. Phillippi, age 88, of Granger, Indiana passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Golden Living Center in Mishawaka. Marjorie was born October 30, 1923 in Granger, Indiana to the late Ollie and Helen (Schuelke) Sones. She was raised on her family''s farm, and was a lifetime resident of the area. In 1974, she married Roy Phillippi, who preceded her in death as well, passing away in July of 1996.
Surviving is her sister, Lois Sheler of Granger, and eight nieces and nephews. Marjorie was preceded in death by her siblings, William and James Sones, Art Gygi, and Velda Pratt.
A private service will be held at a later date. Chapel Hill Funeral Home of Osceola is handling arrangements.
Marjorie served her Country during WWII in the US Army Women''s Corps as a surgical nurse prior to her honorable discharge in 1946. She was a former member of the VFW Post #360 in Mishawaka, and attended the Trinity Lutheran Church in Elkhart.
