Marjorie Jean Rutkowski, 91, of Mishawaka, died Saturday December 6, 2014 at Healthwin Specialty Care. The Indianapolis native was born March 15, 1923 to Alvin Ray & Marguerite (Hicks) Clapp, who have preceded her in death. Jean married Matthew J. Rutkowski in 1943; Matt preceded her in death in 2003 after 60 years of marriage. Jean was a secretary and retired from Bendix Corp. She was an artist and also enjoyed reading, crochet & knitting, as well as playing Bridge and traveling. In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert & Edgar Clapp and her great-grandson, Henry Schult. She is survived by a son, David Rutkowski of Osceola; son, Phillip Rutkowski of Elkhart, daughter, Lynn (Bob) Schult of LaPorte, son, Mark (Pam) Rutkowski in Germany; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and her brother, James (Donna) Clapp of Bellevue KY. Funeral Services 10:00 Saturday December 13, 2014 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
