Marjorie E. Smith, age 92, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2010 at Elkhart General Hospital. Marjorie was born March 22, 1917 in Elkhart to the late John and Mabel (Delinger) Renn. On May 25, 1942, Marjorie married Charles W. Smith. He preceded her in death, passing away on November 28, 1992.
Surviving are her children, Michael (Deborah) Smith, Patrick Smith, and Toni (Vince) Lisi, all of Elkhart, and her granddaughter, Kimberly Willis. Marjorie was preceded in death by her siblings, Harry and Treva Renn.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. A brief graveside service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, March 17, 2010 in the Garden of Christus, on the grounds of Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
Marjorie was a graduate of Concord High School. She was employed for many years at Ziesel''s Department Store in Elkhart. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, and was deeply devoted to her family.
