IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Martha Ann
Balentine
November 15, 1941 – June 8, 2023
Martha Ann Balentine passed away peacefully on June 8th, 2023, surrounded by her family. The wife of Nolen Balentine, who she was united to in marriage for 63 years. Born on November 15th, 1941, in Waterloo, Alabama, the daughter of the late William Anderson and Gertie Odell Dean Holloway. Ann, as she was most referred as, was preceded in death by her 12 siblings. She is survived by her son, Ricky Dale Balentine (Patti) and her daughter, Sandra D. Cox (Ira). She had 4 grandkids (Angie, Amy, Anthony, and Christa) and 12 great-grand kids.
Those who were close to her called her Maw Maw. She generously opened her home and table to anyone in need. Known for her southern wit, biscuits with chocolate gravy, and love for playing table games with friends and family. She enjoyed teaching all her grandchildren the ways of Mario World on Super Nintendo. There was nothing she enjoyed more than spending quality time with her family.
Maw Maw, or Ann, has set an incredible example of generosity and compassion in the way she cared for her family. She genuinely lived out her faith, which was seen and felt by many. She will be greatly missed.
