Martha A. Peters, 81, of Elkhart, died Tuesday, December 5, 2016 at Golden Living Center in Elkhart, Indiana. The Vernon, Kentucky native was born June 24, 1935 to Roy and Polly (Collins) Dyer, who have both preceded her in death. On August 27, 1961, Martha married Robert M. Peters, who preceded her in death on February 13, 2009. Martha will be remembered as a person who enjoyed gardening and working in general. Martha is survived by her sons, Robert (Cindy) Peters and Chris Peters both of Elkhart; one grandchild, Alexa Peters; and a brother, Roy (LaDonna) Dyer, Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 48years, Robert; granddaughter, Miranda Peters; his siblings, George Dyer, Margie Winger, Ailene Ryan, and Earlene Kerr. Family and friends will be received Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 3-7 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN 46561. Funeral services for Martha will be Monday, December 12, 2016 at 10 AM with burial to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
