IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marvin Wendell
Woolett
July 22, 1941 – October 29, 2025
Marvin Wendell Woolett, 84, of Osceola, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Marvin was born on July 22, 1941, in Mishawaka, to the late Marvin and Carrie (Yoho) Woolet. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Woolet, and his sisters, Joan Emons and Lillian Ross.
After attending Madison High School, Marvin proudly served his country in the United States Army from December 1959 to December 1962. Upon returning home, he met the love of his life, Jo Ann Summers. The two were united in marriage on October 22, 1971, in South Bend, and recently celebrated 54 wonderful years together.
Marvin worked as a line manager for AM General, where he was a respected colleague and proud member of U.A.W. Local #5 until his retirement.
A man of deep faith, Marvin loved Jesus and worshiped alongside his family at Victory Chapel. His passion for community and animals led him to found the St. Joseph County 4-H Dairy Goat Club, and he was an active member of the Michiana Dairy Goat Association. Marvin found joy in farming, fishing, bluegrass music, and, to the amusement of his family, keeping his house a toasty 90 degrees.
Marvin is survived by his devoted wife, Jo Ann Woolett; and their children: Deborah (Bruce) Cudney, Wendell (Jeri Lynn) Woolett, Mark (Lola) Woolett, Camden Woolett, Collette Bavar, and Coleen Robin (Rick) Kidder;
16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; his siblings; William Woolet, Dorothy (Eugene) Lubbers, Norm Woolet, and Joyce Garcia; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Marvin's life on Friday, November 7th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home in Osceola, Indiana. A funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m., officiated by Reverend Paul Anderson. Interment will take place immediately afterward at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
Contributions can be made to Marvin and Jo Ann's church, Victory Chapel General Baptist Church.
Marvin's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who shared in his life and faith. His love, laughter, and steadfast devotion will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
