Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Loos, 92, of Elkhart, died Friday, January 27, 2017 at East Lake Nursing and Rehab Center in Elkhart, Indiana. The Mishawaka native was born February 2, 1924 to William Otis and Mary Magdalene Girard, who have both preceded her in death. Mary married John David Loos, Sr.; he preceded her in death. Mary attended the Northside Baptist Church in Elkhart and was the Cleveland Township Assessor for many years. Mary is survived by her children, John (Charlene) Loos of Elkhart and Sally (Harley) Ruger of Michigan city; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; seven brothers and two sisters. In honor of Mary''s wishes, no services are planned at this time.
