Mary O. Harrison, 96, of Elkhart passed away on December 2, 2022 in Elkhart.  She was born on April 14, 1926 in Athens, AL to Noah and Addie McCurry.  She married Cletis Thomas Harrison on Jan. 26 1945 in Elkmont, AL.  He preceded her in death on April 27, 1972.

She is survived by her children: Bernice (Terry) Goorhouse, Terry (Janice) Harrison, Patricia Wynn, Sally Bailey, Dennis Harrison, Jeannette (Robert) Massing and John (Marcy) Harrison; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, as well as 6 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sons, Tom and Dwight Harrison; 2 grandsons, Zachary and Seth Harrison; a son-in-law, Darrel "Hunk" Bailey; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Mary worked in the Housekeeping Department at Woodland Manor Nursing Home for over 20 years.

She was a member of The Church of Christ of Willowdale in Elkhart.  Mary was a wonderful cook and loved spending time with her family and taking care of them.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday Dec. 8,2022 from 11-1 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home 10776 McKinley Hwy., Osceola, IN 46561.

A Funeral Service in her honor will be on Thursday Dec. 8, 2022 at 1 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
