It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mary Frances Kite after her third courageous battle with cancer.  She died at home on December 22, 2024, surrounded by family and friends.

After graduation, Mary began working for Miles/Bayer in Elkhart and later in Mishawaka, where she was an Executive Administrative Assistant for 40 years.  She retired in 2021.

On June 28, 1980, she married the love of her life, Bret Kite and became his 'Wifey' or 'Wife'.  They truly adored one another.

Mary was a great friend to many people.  She always had kind and encouraging words just when someone needed it most.  She loved gardening, her flowers, cats, baking and taking care of Bret.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Bret, nephews AJ Fraser (Jackie, children Kyle and Kate), Ryan Fraser (Jennifer, children Sebastian and Vivian), Travis Fraser (Keeley, son Waylon), sisters -in-law Kim Hershberger (Steve), Karen Frydrych (son Ian), brothers-in law Jim Kite (Sue, son Jason), Denny Kite (Marilyn, children Mike (Michelle), Nicole Taber (Mike), nieces-in law Kelly Butler (John), Rhonda Arndt (Dwight deceased), nephew Rick (Elaine) Bokhart, along with many friends.
