Mary L. Layton Silk, age 78, of Elkhart, IN passed away on April 4, 2020 at Woodland Manor in Elkhart, IN.

She was born on October 29, 1941 in Charleston, West Virginia to Clarence E. and Dortha Fridley Layton. Mary married the love of her life Robert Silk Sr.

Mary is survived by her son, Tommy Atkinson of Elkhart, IN; 3 granddaughters; sisters, Rose (Robert) Keith of Elkhart, IN and Betty (Mike) Wells of Charleston, West Virginia; brother, James (Arnie) Layton of Belle, West Virginia.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Wilbur, Howard, Garland, Clelvin, Ralph Layton; sister, Agnes Armstrong.
