Mary J. Matlock, 78, of Mishawaka, died Sunday, March 4, 2012. The Arkansas native was born September 9, 1933 to Jasper O. & Linnie B. (Foster) Kemp. Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed writing poetry, songs and letters. She was a member of Grace Family Fellowship. She was preceded in death by one brother & one sister. Survivors include husband, Lester N. Matlock; sons, Lester O., Henry Wayne and Bruce C. Matlock and daughter, Betty Jean Matlock, all of Mishawaka; grandchildren, Stacy Marie, Cheryl Marie and Robert Scott Tschida, all of Elkhart; great-grandchildren, Julianna Padilla, Eliyahu David Muncie and Dakota Gonyon; and 9 brother& sisters. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Elkhart Conservation Club, 55515 Riviera Drive Elkhart, IN 46514. The family will receive friends at a luncheon immediately following the service.
